Ingredients: 200 g sugar; 200 ml corn oil; 200 ml milk; 2 eggs; 350 g flour; 1 pinch of salt; 16 g baking powder; 109 g chocolate, cut into pieces; Oil and flour for the tin, as needed

A ring cake made with milk, corn oil and pieces of chocolate. Let it cool before cutting it into slices.

LET’S GET COOKING

Method

Oil and flour a 24 cm ring cake tin. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Beat the eggs with the sugar, then mix in the oil and milk.
Sift the flour and baking powder and add them gradually with the salt, mixing out any lumps.
Fold in the chocolate pieces and pour into the tin. Level the surface.
Bake for about 45 minutes. Insert a skewer into the cake, avoiding the melted chocolate: it should come out without raw batter. Allow to cool slightly, remove from the tin and leave to cool completely.
